My name is Steve Thompson and I started this agency in 2013 after a career as a General Manager at a boat dealership. I wanted to take my skills in customer service and sales and apply it to my own company.
I decided I did not want to work for one Insurance Carrier but rather, to work for my clients. So I created a Brokerage Agency which allows us to be appointed with many premium carriers. This creates greater opportunity because we can always shop for what is best for you, rather than what is best for one company! It’s a win-win model.
Licensed in many states and growing, we are an agency with a small-town personal touch but our mission is vast. I am located in North Georgia on Lake Lanier. My desire is to connect with people nationwide.

In 2023, I purchased the Baytree Insurance Agency in Valdosta, GA and changed my company name to Baytree Insurance. The original staff of Baytree remains the same and the office in Valdosta has become our primary physical location.
